Gingivitis
Gingivitis is the earliest, reversible stage of gum disease, characterised by red, swollen gums that bleed easily during brushing or flossing.
Gingivitis is caused by plaque build-up at the gum line. Without treatment it can progress to periodontitis, which damages the bone supporting the teeth.
