Anesthesia
Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is an inhaled sedative mixed with oxygen and breathed through a small mask to help anxious patients relax during dental treatment.
Its effects begin and wear off within minutes, allowing patients to drive themselves home. It is widely used in paediatric and adult dentistry as the lightest form of conscious sedation.
