Creating a Client Treatment Plan
How to build patient-facing treatment plans with pricing, images, and branding
What Is a Client Treatment Plan?
Client treatment plans are simplified, patient-facing plans designed to be shared directly with the person receiving care. Unlike full clinical plans, they focus on what the patient needs to know — the recommended procedures, why they're being suggested, what to expect during each visit, and how to prepare and recover. They are free to create (no credits required) and can be exported, shared, or printed exactly like any other plan.
When to Use One
Reach for a client plan when you want to give a patient something clear to take home after a consultation, or when you're following up on a treatment estimate and want them to understand the rationale before they commit. They're also useful as a soft second opinion for patients comparing options between clinics.
How to Create One
- From the dashboard, click New Plan.
- Choose Client Plan as the plan type.
- Enter the patient's first name (or a nickname) — this is used in greetings throughout the document.
- Use the interactive dental chart to mark affected teeth, then add the conditions you've diagnosed. Severity chips help you indicate urgency at a glance.
- Add the procedures you're recommending. Each item supports a short rationale that will be rephrased in plain language for the patient.
- Optionally add aftercare notes, follow-up timing, and questions you want the patient to consider before the next visit.
- Click Save Plan. The plan is generated instantly with no AI charge.
Sharing With the Patient
Once saved, click Share to copy a secure, view-only link, or use Export to download a branded PDF. Both options respect your clinic's logo, colours, and contact details if you've configured branding in the Profile tab.
Editing After Creation
Client plans are fully editable. You can revise wording, add procedures, or upgrade the plan to a full AI version later if you decide you want a deeper clinical write-up — see Editing and Enhancing Plans.
