Editing a Treatment Plan
Every treatment plan you create — AI-generated, manual, client, or referral — is fully editable from the moment it's saved. Open any plan from the dashboard, click Edit, and the rich-text editor opens with the full document, dental chart, and metadata available for revision.
What You Can Edit
- Heading and patient details — name, age, visit date, referring practitioner.
- Dental chart — add or remove affected teeth, change conditions, adjust severity chips.
- Procedure list — reorder, rename, or replace recommended procedures and their sequencing.
- Narrative sections — rationale, aftercare instructions, follow-up notes, anything written in prose.
- Tags and metadata — assign tags, link clinic templates, or change the plan type.
AI Enhance
The AI Enhance button (the sparkle icon in the editor toolbar) lets you ask our AI to rewrite, expand, simplify, or restructure any part of the plan you've highlighted. Common uses include:
- Simplify for the patient — rewrite a clinical paragraph in plain language.
- Expand — turn a one-line note into a full procedural explanation.
- Translate tone — soften or formalise the wording.
- Summarise — collapse a long section into a concise overview.
AI Enhance modifications are included in the original cost of the plan — they do not consume additional credits. Lifetime members get unlimited enhancements on every plan.
Versioning and Autosave
The editor autosaves every few seconds so you'll never lose work. Each manual Save creates a checkpoint you can revert to from the version history menu. This is especially useful when you're experimenting with AI Enhance — you can always roll back to the previous wording.
Re-Sharing After Edits
If you've already shared the plan with a patient, your edits are reflected in the existing share link automatically — there's no need to send a new URL. The shared view always shows the latest saved version.
