Erosion
Dental erosion is the irreversible loss of tooth surface caused by chemical (acid) dissolution rather than bacterial decay.
Common causes include frequent consumption of acidic drinks (soda, citrus, wine), gastric reflux, and bulimia. Prevention involves limiting acid exposure, rinsing with water afterwards, and using enamel-strengthening toothpaste.
