Diastema

A diastema is a visible gap or space between two teeth, most commonly between the two upper front teeth (midline diastema).

Diastemas can be normal in childhood and may close as adult teeth erupt. In adults they can be closed with braces, aligners, composite bonding, or veneers depending on size and cause.
