Canine
A canine is a pointed tooth located between the incisors and premolars, used for tearing food. Adults have four canines — one in each quadrant.
Canines (also called cuspids or eye teeth) have the longest roots of any teeth and are often the last front teeth lost to disease, making them important anchors for bridges and partial dentures.
