While the All-on-4 concept is often favored in cases of moderate to severe bone resorption, the All-on-6 may be preferred when more robust bone is available, allowing for a broader distribution of occlusal forces and potentially a more resilient restoration.

Patient selection also involves a thorough assessment of general health, including any systemic conditions that might affect bone healing or implant integration, such as uncontrolled diabetes or certain autoimmune diseases. The final restoration is designed to be highly aesthetic, replicating the appearance of natural teeth and gums, and provides excellent stability for biting and chewing a wide range of foods. Maintenance and Long-Term Prognosis

Effective oral hygiene and regular professional maintenance are critical for the long-term success of an All-on-6 restoration. Patients are educated on specific cleaning techniques using specialized brushes, interdental aids, and oral irrigators to clean around the implants and under the prosthetic bridge, preventing plaque accumulation and peri-implantitis. Routine dental examinations, typically every 6 to 12 months, are essential to monitor the health of the peri-implant tissues, assess the integrity of the prosthesis, and evaluate occlusion. These appointments often include professional cleaning and radiographic assessment.
