Abutment
An abutment is the connecting component that attaches a dental crown, bridge, or denture to a dental implant or to a natural tooth.
An implant abutment is typically screwed into the implant fixture once osseointegration is complete. It can be made of titanium, zirconia, or gold, and may be stock or custom-milled (CAD/CAM).
